Reconnecting more than one charging wires at the bottom requires another bottom piece with known wire connection sequence: $10
*NiMH is a much better choice than the original NiCd. Not only is NiMH fully compatible with NiCd in charging and discharging, it also has much larger capacity, which allows your handle to hold more energy and recharge less often, resulting much longer battery life. Better yet, NiMH doesn't suffer from the "memory problem" associated with the NiCd.
